An opportunity has become available for a dedicated and passionate entry-level Caseworker to join our Integrated Domestic Family Violence Services (IDFVS) team, providing life-changing support to families across the Central Coast. The successful incumbent will provide initial phone-based support, intake/triage, safety audits and planning and service referrals where required to women with or without children planning to stay, leave or escape a violent relationship.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in our offices in Tuggerah. We utilise a best practice model to deliver therapeutic outcomes, build client capabilities and safety, drive and promote change. What You'll Do:

  • Provide timely intake, triage and support utilising brief crisis intervention strategies.
  • Provide advocacy and comprehensive case management/coordination to support clients in remaining separated from a violent partner by addressing common barriers.
  • Provide information, support and safety planning to those women choosing to stay in their relationship.
  • Ensure upon intake clients understand what our services can provide, length of service provision and exit planning strategies and referrals to other services if this criterion does not fit their needs and goals.
  • Maintain professional records and uphold privacy, child protection, and Safer Pathway obligations.

What You'll Bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or equivalent.
  • 2–3 years' experience in case management, specifically supporting victims of domestic violence.
  • Experience or knowledge in all areas in Domestic & Family Violence or related specialist area such as mental health, homelessness or drug and alcohol.
  • Demonstrated understanding of criminal justice responses to DV, including exclusion orders, ADVO/APVO applications, prosecutions, and related family law and child protection matters.
  • Solid networking and advocacy skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong advocacy skills and the ability to navigate complex, high-pressure situations.
  • A NSW Driver's Licence and insured vehicle.
