Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive team member for a full time position, Monday to Friday at our Loganholme premises.  The successful Purchasing/Storeperson will manage procurement, inventory control, and supply chain coordination to ensure the smooth flow of goods from ordering to dispatch along with an organised Stores & Warehouse.  Key responsibilities include raising purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, receiving and inspecting goods, maintaining accurate stock levels and assisting our technicians and coordinators.

Position Duties

• Raise and manage purchase orders (PO's) for jobs, stock, materials, and consumables.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to confirm product availability, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Track and expedite outstanding orders to meet operational requirements in Simpro.
• Ensure purchasing activities align with company budgets, policies, and stock needs.
• Accurately receive and check incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery dockets and accurately entering into software systems.
• Inspect goods for discrepancies, or quality issues and liaise with manager for direction.
• Coordinate with suppliers regularly on any delivery time delays, issues, damages and shortfalls.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer and internal orders for dispatch.
• Prepare goods for transport, including appropriate labelling and documentation.
• Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles as required.
• Stock rotation, minimizing waste and management of parts becoming obsolete and no longer used.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and transferring of stock/materials using inventory management systems within Simpro.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full stock takes of the stores and the Technicians vehicles to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant work environment in line with WHS standards.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (if licenced, or willing to get licences).
• Manage allocation of ADS Equipment when utilised by Technicians.
• Assist with workshop duties as required.

About You

• Previous experience as a Purchasing/Storeperson or a related field within the industrial services sector is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management practices a big advantage.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift license would be a benefit
• Flexible and Open minded to expand in the workplace
• Can do attitude and ability to problem solve on the go.
