The Role

Working as part of a small team in our largest branch, your role will include all activities related to stock management, including coordinating ingoing and outgoing stock to meet both branch and customer needs.

In partnership with a private training provider, you will commence a 2-year traineeship and gain a nationally recognised and accredited qualification while you work.  You will be given time at work to complete training materials, and the traineeship is completely funded by the company. We will also organise a forklift ticket, to enable you to undertake all required warehouse duties safely.

Alongside gaining industry knowledge, systems experience, and building workplace skills, you'll learn and be assessed on all aspects of working in warehouse operations, including how to:

  • Complete receival and despatch paperwork.
  • Check specifications of goods and store items.
  • Prepare items for despatch or pickup.
  • Conduct stocktakes.
  • Manage and monitor inventory.
  • Lift and carry items safely.

What we are looking for

  • Proven reliability and long-term commitment to something (e.g. a job, a sport, a qualification).
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Careful attention to detail and good numerical literacy.
  • Able to work in a physical environment, including manual handling and lifting (safe) loads in accordance with WHS procedures.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Can follow work procedures and directions.
  • Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening.
  • The legal right to work in Australia on a full time, permanent basis.
