What's the role on offer?

Based in Brisbane, this full-time position within our Operations Control Centre (OCC) will see you play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our network. As an Operations Controller, you will coordinate aircraft and crew resources, manage complex disruptions, and support safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for overseeing schedule and disruption management, crew rostering, communication with internal and external stakeholders, and emergency response planning. The role involves working 5 days on, 4 days off shift patterns to ensure 24/7 coverage of operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining and optimising the Charter and RPT schedule within the Operations Control System.
• Solving complex operational problems with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinating crew rosters, including re-crewing due to disruptions or additional services.
• Managing communication for delayed, disrupted, and cancelled services.
• Supporting the Client & Charter Coordinator with regards to customer recovery during operational disruptions.
• Proactively managing weather-related disruptions.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a highly organised, problem-solving individual with a passion for aviation and operations. The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator, able to make decisions under pressure, and have a strong focus on ensuring operational excellence. Ideally, you will have experience within an operations control centre or a related aviation environment, as well as a good understanding of crew rostering, flight planning, and disruption management. Your skills will include:

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite, with experience in Airline Operations and Crew Management Systems beneficial.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to think critically and make decisions in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments.

• Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in rostering, crew resource management, and aviation operations.
