FTP Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Lead to join one of the innovative feature teams working on our IMS application. In this pivotal leadership role, your primary mission will be to foster the technical abilities and growth of team members, ensure the successful and high-quality delivery of software, and set the team's technical direction. You'll also work closely with the Product Owner, ensuring that business goals are aligned with technical execution, and ensuring smooth operations from development to deployment.

What You'll Do

As a Technical Lead, you will be at the heart of our development process, responsible for:

• Product Design & Architecture: Lead technical design, implementation, and architectural decisions at the team level, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with best practices.

• Full-Stack Development: Dive into hands-on coding, writing, testing, and debugging across the application stack. Your expertise will be crucial in building and maintaining high-quality, robust features.

• Delivery Ownership: Collaborate with Product Owners to deconstruct requirements into well-defined, deliverable work items for the development team, overseeing the team's agile ceremonies and processes.

• Quality Assurance: Enhance our testing strategies and frameworks to ensure our products are secure, reliable, and performant. You will help maintain high standards of test coverage and quality.

• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and your fellow developers. You'll mentor team members, foster a collaborative spirit, and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a candidate with a strong blend of technical expertise and leadership qualities.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Software Developer/Engineer with a strong background in architecture and design.

• Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring a development team.

• Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript ) and Python (Django).

• Expertise in relational databases like Postgres or MSSQL, including experience with large datasets and complex SQL queries.

• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies.

• Deployment and orchestration with Docker/Kubernetes

• A strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the full software development lifecycle.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a knack for managing both technical and business priorities.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.

• Australian work authorisation is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Familiarity with mining-related technology sectors.
