The Company

We have partnered with a well-established and multi-disciplinary firm in the Inner South Suburbs of Melbourne. They cover a broad range of services including accounting, financial and lending. Currently with a team of around 30, this role works very closely with the firms partners and leads the administration team to success. 

The Opportunity

This firm are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join the team. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can hit the ground running, as our partners are busy. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of public practice accounting experience and be well-versed in Xero and Xero Practice Manager. 

Your Day-to-Day tasks would include:

  • Implement and refine policies and procedures as needed
  • Assist with workflow management and process improvement
  • Prepare and manage budgets
  • Data analysis for the firm and employee performance
  • Oversee databases and generate reports
  • Maintain strong client relationships
  • Handle HR components, including staff support
  • Assist both in-office administration staff and offshore administrators as needed

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role within public practice accounting firms.
  • Xero & Xero Practice Manager experience is essential
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
