Baytouna is an authentic Lebanese restaurant dedicated to delivering traditional and contemporary Middle Eastern cuisine in a vibrant and welcoming setting. We are seeking an experienced Chef with a strong background in Lebanese and Middle Eastern cooking to join our kitchen team and contribute to our mission of culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and prepare a wide range of traditional Lebanese dishes including mezze, grilled meats, stews, and desserts.
  2. Monitor food preparation methods and presentation to ensure high quality and consistency.
  3. Develop and cost menu items and specials in consultation with management.
  4. Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations in all food handling processes.
  5. Supervise and train kitchen staff, manage work schedules, and maintain kitchen efficiency.
  6. Check freshness of food and ingredients and manage stock control and inventory.
  7. Coordinate with front-of-house staff for seamless service delivery.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen stations and equipment.
  9. Adapt dishes to meet dietary requirements when necessary.

Required Skills & Experience:

  1. Minimum of one full-time experience as a Chef, with strong exposure to Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine.
  2. Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (Diploma or higher).
  3. Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen operations.
  4. Ability to lead a team and work in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
  6. Passion for authentic Lebanese flavours and commitment to quality.
