Delivery & Release Manager (with QA Ownership) – Own Our Delivery & Releases
2 weeks ago
We're looking for a hands-on Delivery & Release Manager who will own the full software delivery cycle at DappleOS from sprint planning and backlog management through to testing and live production deployment.
This is a hybrid role that blends Scrum Master, QA Tester, and Release Manager responsibilities. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to define tickets, manage sprints, personally test all changes, and oversee production releases.
If you thrive in fast-paced startup environments, love driving teams towards delivery goals, and enjoy owning the final quality gate before release, this role is for you.
About DappleOSWe're building the operating system for modern aesthetic and medical clinics. Our customers rely on us for fast, high-quality feature delivery and we're scaling quickly.
That's where you come in.
We need someone who can own the entire delivery pipeline end-to-end:
-
Plan the work
-
Manage the sprints
-
Test the changes
-
Deploy to production
This is a fusion role: Scrum Master, Delivery Manager, QA Tester, and Release Owner.
Startup OpportunityThis isn't a corporate delivery manager job.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role at a fast-growing startup.
You'll work directly with the founders, product leads, and engineering team, sitting with us at our Newstead, Brisbane HQ (or remotely from anywhere in Australia).
You'll have a front-row seat to how features go from customer need to idea, design, build, test, and live in production.
You'll own delivery, own quality control, and own the release process.
If you want exposure to product strategy, customer impact, and real company-building work, this is that role.
We value speed, ownership, and getting great work into the hands of customers fast.
What You'll Own-
Sprint Ownership & Delivery Management
Run sprint planning, stand-ups, retros, and delivery check-ins. Keep the team aligned and delivering. -
Project Visibility
Maintain our Notion-based project plans. Ensure clear visibility of owners, timelines, risks, and blockers. -
Ticket Definition Support
Partner with Product and Leadership to shape, define, and break down work into actionable, testable tickets. -
Testing & Quality Control
Personally test all code changes before they go live. Validate functionality, UI/UX, and edge cases. Raise bugs where needed. -
Production Release Ownership
Once changes pass testing, own the deployment process, merging and releasing work into production. -
Backlog Health
Keep our Notion backlog clean, organized, and prioritized. -
Cross-Team Communication
Act as the bridge between Engineering, Product, and Customer Success. Translate customer needs and business goals into clear execution plans.
-
Every sprint starts with clear, achievable tickets
-
Releases happen regularly, on time, and bug-free
-
Nothing hits production without passing functional QA
-
Leadership and Customer Success get proactive delivery updates
-
The team feels momentum and clarity
-
2–4 years in Scrum Master, Delivery, QA, or Technical Project Management roles
-
Hands-on experience testing web applications
-
Strong experience running Agile delivery cycles
-
Comfortable leading sprints, owning project plans, and coordinating across teams
-
Familiar with Notion, Slack, and Git-based deployment workflows
-
Bonus: Engineering background or technical experience
-
Have permanent work rights in Australia
-
Hybrid work environment from our Newstead, Brisbane HQ, with flexibility for remote work across Australia
-
MacBook Pro and required equipment provided
-
Direct exposure to founders and product leadership
-
