Centre for Social Purpose Organisations exists to support the School's purpose, with a particular focus on social purpose organisations and their leaders. Fundamental to the Centre's work is a growing body of commissioned research.

The Opportunity?

In this newly created role, you will work closely with the Centre Director, Research Fellow, and our partners to design, coordinate, and deliver high-quality research projects that enhance the sustainability and impact of social purpose organisations. You will contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of research projects, drawing on rigorous academic and industry literature to inform research frameworks and approaches. This role will lead and manage Human Research Ethics applications and approvals, and coordinate data collection through interviews, focus groups, surveys, and other mixed-method methodologies. You will also play an important role in project coordination across multiple initiatives and engagement with diverse stakeholders, including academic institutions, industry partners, and research partners.

About you

This role is ideal for someone with strong intellectual curiosity, well-developed research capability, and a genuine commitment to supporting social purpose organisations.

You will have a first-class honours degree or higher, demonstrated experience conducting independent research and proven experience with human research ethics processes. You also possess a strong command of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, excellent organisational skills. We are a small tight team and looking for someone with a collaborative mindset and positive nature.

As a part of our dynamic, purpose-driven team you will have the opportunity to develop research that informs practice and strengthen social purpose ecosystem. You will engage and learn from leaders, partners and practitioners across the social purpose organisations in Australia.
