The Role:
Working under broad direction from the Manager Commission Assessment and supported by the planning, building and legislation teams, the role provides strategic leadership and direction on the prioritisation of enhancements to the PlanSA system, providing expert specialised advice and consultancy to senior management, the State Planning Commission, State Commission Assessment Panel, Minister for Planning, external stakeholders and inter-agency committees regarding current relevant developments in the discipline and their potential implications.
About You:
To be successful in these positions, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:
- Sound knowledge of planning and development processes and procedures.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 and associated codes, regulations and procedures and skills and abilities to apply them in complex situations.
- Ability to apply professional skills and techniques to interpret, review and implement policy, legislation and regulations.
- Skills and capacity to provide quality leadership.
- High level written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working in a planning related role that involves policy development, strategic planning and/or development assessment.
Qualification:
- Eligible for Accreditation as 'Accredited Professional – planning level 1' under the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 (Desirable).
Special Conditions
Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
Remuneration:
PO4 - $110,696 - $120,470 max.
