The venue
Entering our beautiful Paddington corner terrace, you will feel like you've been invited to a stylish dinner party complete with illustrated menus, coloured Maison Balzac water glasses and handmade pendant lights. Ursula's Paddington chef-owner Phil Wood and Head Chef Frederik Vollmond use top Australian produce paired with classic cookery, Asian flavours and a touch of Australian nostalgia to create a wonderfully balanced menu.
Ursula's Paddington was awarded Two Hats in the 2025 Good Food Guide and was listed as one of the top 50 restaurants in Australia in the 2025 Gourmet Traveller Annual Restaurant Guide.
The roles
We are looking for a Section Waiter and a Floor Supervisor to join the team at Ursula's Paddington.
As part of the Ursula's Paddington front of house team, you will be proud of the dishes you share with your guests - Moreton Bay bug pasta with crustacean butter, roast duck with chilli, coconut, pineapple and curry leaf, and our classic dessert of golden syrup dumplings, rum, raisin and malt cream - as well as of our sandstone cellar and extensive beverage list. You will relish working alongside your colleagues, and you will look forward to welcoming regular guests back to the dining room.
You will:
- Deliver warm, professional and attentive service, ensuring every guest feels welcome and valued.
- Greet and seat guests, take orders, serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner, and manage payments efficiently.
- Supply, dispense and/or mix cocktails, wine and other beverages.
- Assist with the training, supervision and coordination of junior front of house team members.
As Floor Supervisor, you will also:
- Supervise the floor to ensure the restaurant's standards are met and the sequence of service is adhered to through all guest interactions.
- Assist in managing reservations, guest relations, and service flow.
- Ensure the dining room and bar area is always ready for service.
- Accurately cash up and reconcile takings at the end of day.

Essential requirements:
- Passion for restaurants and hospitality
- Experience working in premium restaurants
- Wine knowledge and formal wine training
- Current NSW RSA qualification
