Grocery Assistant

Earth Markets is a leading fresh produce chain in South East Qld, with over 25 years of experience providing SEQ locals with an extensive range of high-quality fresh fruit, vegetables & groceries sourced from local farmers & growers.

We seek a passionate Grocery Assistant who is customer-focused, a great communicator, has attention to detail, and enjoys working as part of a team. The role also includes providing customer service at our registers during peak times.

Current opportunities are available at our Robina and Elanora stores on the Gold Coast.

About the role:

  • Ability to manage a high volume of inventory and merchandise in-store (occasional heavy lifting may be required).
  • Conduct quality control, temperature and date checks as part of Earth Market's food safety & hygiene practices and per health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to our excellent store presentation by maintaining shelf cleanliness and ticketing.
  • Utilising our Point of Sale system and back office computers to create orders, review invoices, update pricing, and print price tickets.
  • Filling, rotating, facing, displaying and relaying grocery items on our shelves, fridges and off-location areas.
  • Provide friendly customer service at the registers using our Point of Sale system.
  • Give high-level customer service by greeting our customers with a smile and helping them with their selections on the shop floor.

  • A minimum of 1 year of customer service and grocery experience in a similar role is preferred.

  • Attention to detail and ability to self-prioritise tasks according to the business needs.
  • Must hold permanent residency status or valid Australian work rights.
