We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $149,259 to $155,831 p.a. (Nurse Grade 8)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

The Nurse Practitioner Prison Health Service, within credentialed scope of practice, provides nursing leadership, clinical governance, case management and complex clinical care and support for patients within the correctional environment.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • Qualification: Master of Nursing Science (Nurse Practitioner) or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
  • Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Adult Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
  • Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including Queensland Corrective Services Criminal History Check.
