How you'll make an impact in this role
As a People & Culture Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and managers, providing strategic and operational HR support across your portfolio. You'll partner closely with executives and the broader People & Culture team to deliver initiatives that enhance employee engagement, development, and retention, while ensuring alignment with Cabrini's mission and values.
Some of the key responsibilities include the following:
Building strong partnerships with executives and people managers, influencing decision-making on People & Culture strategies and initiatives.
Providing expert advice on change management, organisational police and employee relations matters such as performance, conflict resolution and disputes.
Coaching and developing leaders to strengthen capability, manage risk, and promote best practice in people management.
Leading or supporting People & Culture projects and programs, including culture surveys, performance reviews, recognition, wellbeing, learning, EA negotiations, and HRIS initiatives.
Delivering workplace training and maintaining a visible presence across Cabrini campuses to support managers and staff.
Contributing to continuous improvement, risk management, and reporting to support organisational objectives.
What You'll Bring
Strong relationship-building, communication, influencing and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly.
Proven HR experience in a Business Partner or senior HR generalist role within a medium to large organisation.
Expertise in employee relations, case management, workplace investigations, performance management, and change management.
Sound knowledge of ER/IR legislation, industrial instruments, and the full employee lifecycle.
Demonstrated success in delivering HR projects, workforce planning, and coaching managers to build capability.
Proficiency in HRIS, case management systems and Microsoft Office applications, with flexibility to work across multiple Cabrini sites.
Highly Regarded
Relevant tertiary or training qualifications.
Experience in unionised environments, conciliation processes, and knowledge of the Victorian health system.
