Commercial Superintendent – Broken Hill Operations (Full Time)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Superintendent to lead the finance, administration, procurement, logistics, and site support functions across Broken Hill Operations (Rasp Mine and Pinnacles).
Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with Group Finance, this role plays a key part in strategic planning, commercial governance, and driving business performance to deliver value across the operation. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to site-wide decision-making and ensure alignment between operational and corporate objectives.
There is opportunity for this role to grow as Broken Hill Mines develops Pinnacles and business scope evolves.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial, finance, procurement and logistics teams to deliver efficient site support services
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting and governance compliance
- Manage procurement, contractor performance and commercial contracts
- Drive financial planning, cost control and system improvement initiatives
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
- CA/CPA qualification (essential).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in senior commercial or finance leadership roles, ideally within mining or heavy industry
- Strong financial modelling, analysis, and business planning skills.
- Proven experience in procurement, contract management, and ERP systems (Pronto and Power BI highly regarded).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership capability.

About Broken Hill Mines
The Rasp Mine is an operating silver-lead-zinc mine in Broken Hill, with a large Mineral Resource and a 750,000tpa processing plant. The mine has operated for over 120 years, producing zinc and lead concentrates sold globally. The Pinnacles Mine, situated 15km southwest of Broken Hill, is known for containing one of the area's highest-grade and shallowest silver-zinc-lead deposits. Despite being largely undeveloped, small-scale historical mining has occurred over the past 120 years. Broken Hill Mines has recently acquired the Rasp Mine and secured a Joint Venture option for the Pinnacles Mine to consolidate the two operations and create a leading and long-term base metals operation.
