What You'll Be Doing

As a Team Leader (Assistant Room Leader), you'll play a key role in creating a space where educators and children learn, grow, and flourish together. You'll:

  • Lead and motivate your team with empathy, reflection, and collaboration
  • Partner with your Studio Leader and co-lead educators to deliver meaningful programs
  • Step confidently into the Studio Leader role when needed
  • Observe, document, and nurture each child's learning journey
  • Build authentic relationships with families and colleagues
  • Support quality improvement and uphold high professional standards
  • Promote mindfulness and emotional intelligence in your room's daily rhythm

What You Bring

  • You're a confident and passionate educator ready to embrace leadership and innovation. You bring:
  • A Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's in Children's Services (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years' experience in early childhood education
  • Experience in an Exceeding-rated centre
  • A strong understanding of EYLF, NQF, and current industry standards
  • Current WWCC, Police Check, First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications
  • But most importantly, you bring heart, a genuine drive to lead with purpose, connect with others, and make a lasting impact.
