The Opportunity

Our Lysaght business is looking for an Estimator - Home Improvements to join the Sales team based in Archerfield, QLD. Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.

As a critical member of the team, you will ensure that continual innovation to produce responsive, high quality estimating services consistently exceed our customers' needs.

What Will You Do?

You will be responsible for all technical aspects of estimating and quoting, including interacting with customers to facilitate the processing of estimations & quotations relevant to our home improvements space. You will also be involved with developing Patio and Carport orders from construction plans.

You will:

• provide professional service by promptly acknowledging customers and clearly communicating any delays related to estimating services
• prepare material estimates and quotes from construction drawings and sketches
• process customer orders from plans
• provide technical support to customers and Internal Sales department enquiries

More About You

You will have experience in Home Improvements, estimating or drafting or have a building or trades background. You will be comfortable with numbers, technical drawings and computer-based applications. You will have:

• ability to read and estimate from construction or sketch drawings
• experience with estimating using AUTOCAD or similar software
• a genuine interest in providing customer's great service
• sound process management and organisational skills
• excellent skills in Microsoft Office
