LOCAL DIESEL / TRAILER MECHANIC - BDS PERTH

BDS Mechanical has multiple positions available for Diesel mechanics to join our local team in Perth. These are rostered (2/1) positions based locally, home every night, with genuine career progression paths. A perfect opportunity for someone starting out as a tradesman or a seasoned professional to join a large, secure, reputable company with a family friendly roster.

BDS Mechanical Repairs is a growing, privately owned business that offers mechanical, auto electrical and welding repairs both in house and onsite with 22 fixed workshop locations. We have over 160 field service units and the team at BDS cover over 800,000 km2 of Queensland and Western Australia, meaning we're never too far away. We pride ourselves on looking after our staff and creating a healthy work life balance.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Relevant Australian recognised qualification
  • Current drivers license
  • Experience working on trucks and trailers
  • Full Working Rights
  • Basic tools
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Extra skills, experience, tickets and licences will be advantageous

Your duties will include:

  • Perform diagnostics and inspections in accordance with the maintenance planning systems to ensure the road transport remains in top condition
  • (This role) will be working mostly trucks, trailers and dollys
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems on a wide range of transport equipment
  • Keep data and records of all work completed
  • Ensure safety is constantly being practice in the workspace
