About the role
The primary purpose of this role is to execute all internal reviews, provide technical claims management and subject matter expert advice, and ensure all dispute processes and procedures are current, monitored, updated, and adhered to across the core contracts.
- Ensure Internal Review determinations are soundly based and resolved within the relevant guidelines, policies, and legislative requirements.
- Collaborate with Litigation, Technical Specialists, and Claims teams to ensure effective management of claims and advocate the use of alternate strategies to progress claims.
- Provide outstanding customer service to all parties and identify solutions to resolve disputes that align with Allianz business goals.
- Work closely with claims teams to ensure claims are managed in accordance with legislative requirements and common law practice.
- Represent Allianz at the Personal Injury Commission (PIC) when required.
- Increase awareness and contribute to improvements in claims decision-making practices, informed by insights and disputed PIC outcomes.
- Ensure privacy is maintained in all interactions, aligned with Allianz corporate guidelines and policies.
- Strengthen governance, risk management, internal control management, and risk culture in relation to internal reviews.
- Identify skill gaps in technical and legal matters, providing input on training needs with Team Managers regarding decision-making and claims management practices.
- Keep the business informed of legislative changes and case law precedents, embedding them into decision-making across the business.
About you
- Extensive Workers Compensation experience and strong knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Customer-centric approach to strategy and initiative development.
- Professional scepticism with the ability to challenge accepted practices constructively.
- Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills to manage competing demands.
- Outcome-focused with ability to deliver end-to-end results.
- Autonomous worker with effective cross-business partnering skills.
- Strong understanding of claims management models and cost drivers.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret data, identify patterns, and develop solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clarity, impact, and influence.
- In-depth understanding of strategy development and ability to align departmental strategy with organisational vision.
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
