The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) WA is inviting expressions of interest from experienced Paramedics to join our talent pool for FIFO contracts across current and future operations. These roles span a variety of sectors, including the resources industry, and offer opportunities for both casual and full-time employment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver initial emergency response, patient stabilisation, and medevac of critically ill or injured individuals.
  • Provide prehospital emergency care across diverse healthcare domains and challenging environments.
  • Administer primary health care and manage non-emergency medical conditions.
  • Participate in HSE activities, training, and emergency response planning.
  • Lead and support Emergency Response Team training and procedure development.
  • Design and deliver onsite health education and awareness programs.
  • Coordinate and conduct on-site drug and alcohol testing.
  • Manage clinic administration and reporting duties.

Essential Criteria

To be considered, you must have:

  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration.
  • Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in prehospital care
  • Current ALS certification (or equivalent).
  • HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong computer literacy for operational tasks.
  • Proven experience in emergency response services within the mining or similar sectors.
  • Residency in Western Australia.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • TBOSIET and MSIC (for offshore roles).
  • Experience in mental health support and return-to-work programs.
  • Competency in immunisations and vaccinations.
  • Experience in fit testing.
  • ATLS/EMST or equivalent trauma training.
  • Prior work in remote or critical emergency care settings.
