About the Role

AMS has an exciting full-time opportunity for a hands-on Airside Grounds & Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at regional airports across Western Australia

This is a FIFO role ex-Perth, working on a 14 days on / 14 days off roster (2,2). Perfect for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and the chance to work across multiple remote aerodrome sites.

You'll be maintaining critical infrastructure that keeps aircraft moving safely – from runways to fences – while working with a supportive team that values safety, professionalism and quality.

In the performance of these maintenance duties, the employee is required to operate various vehicles, spraying equipment and general grounds maintenance equipment. Working remotely, The maintenance coordinator will be required and willing to drive long distances on a regular basis and work unsupervised in remote regions and sites across Western Australia.


• Perform landside and airside maintenance activities including minor runway surface repairs, line marking, fence repairs, weed management etc.


• Liaise with Aerodrome Managers to ensure currency of the maintenance plan in accordance with current requirements.


• Ensure client and key stakeholders are kept updated in relation to forecasted and completed maintenance tasks by site.


• Arrange scheduled maintenance for all vehicles and equipment in accordance with manufacturers service intervals.

• Hold a current "HR" class driver's license


• Sound mechanical aptitude.


• Ability to work autonomously in harsh environmental conditions at remote locations


• Ability to prioritise activities and manage workload to ensure effective management of deadlines and outcomes.


• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with members of the community, and staff throughout the company.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• A basic understanding of CASA regulations


• Chemical spraying Certificate (desirable)


• Senior First Aid (desirable)


• ARO & AROC Certificates (desirable)
