Our client, a prominent technology organisation based in Sydney Olympic Park, is looking to expand their digital workspace capabilities by hiring a skilled VMware Workspace ONE Consultant.

VMware Workspace ONE Engineer (On-Prem)

Location: Sydney Olympic Park

Work Type: Full-time, On-site (5 days per week)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: 6+ months contract, extensions likely

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced VMware Workspace ONE Engineer with solid on-premise expertise to join our client's technical team in Sydney.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on environments and enjoys solving complex endpoint management and network challenges.

You'll be working side-by-side with senior engineers in a highly collaborative environment, supporting mobile device management (phones and tablets) across a large enterprise setup.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, configure, and maintain the on-prem VMware Workspace ONE environment
  • Provide hands-on support for mobile and tablet device management
  • Troubleshoot routing, proxy, and authentication issues related to Workspace ONE
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth operations of endpoint management systems
  • Support ongoing performance and reliability improvements
Skills & Experience

Strong, practical experience with VMware Workspace ONE (on-prem)

Deep understanding of mobile device management (MDM) for enterprise environments

Familiarity with network routing, proxy configurations, and authentication flows

Experience troubleshooting complex system integrations

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Exposure to Microsoft Intune or similar MDM tools (advantageous)
