About the role
Truckfix NSW PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Prestons, NSW. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring our customers of commercial vehicles are well-maintained and roadworthy. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and servicing a variety of heavy-duty diesel engines and related components.
What you'll be doing
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, and other components
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic equipment
- Rebuilding and overhauling diesel engine components as needed
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations
- Maintaining detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Providing exceptional customer service to our fleet clients
What we're looking for
- Formal qualifications in Automotive Diesel Mechanics or related trade
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in a commercial vehicle workshop
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics and repair procedures
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Being able to work On-site carrying out servicing and repairs.
- Flexible week on week off after hours breakdowns with service vehicle provided.
