About This Role
Your new role:
In this temporary part-time position (32 hours per fortnight), you will play a key role in delivering and advancing Respiratory Medicine services at Logan Hospital. You'll provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient care, support multidisciplinary teamwork, supervise junior medical staff and contribute to ongoing service improvement, education and research across the department.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Deliver specialist respiratory care across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Participate in the Respiratory Medicine on-call roster
  • Perform and supervise procedures including bronchoscopy, EBUS, thoracic ultrasound and pleural interventions
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to Registrars, PHOs and RMOs

About You
You are an experienced and collaborative specialist who is committed to excellence in patient care, medical education and service improvement. You bring strong clinical expertise in Respiratory Medicine and value working as part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.

You Will Have

  • High-level clinical expertise in diagnosing and managing respiratory conditions
  • Procedural proficiency in bronchoscopy, EBUS, thoracic ultrasound and pleural procedures
  • Experience managing acute respiratory disorders, including non-invasive ventilation
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage patients, carers and staff with empathy and professionalism

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
