Merchandise Planning Manager

The Role

With exciting growth ahead, Perri Cutten is looking for a skilled and meticulous
Merchandise Planning Manager
to be part of our journey. Located at our Malvern Support Office and reporting to the General Manager, this crucial role will lead all merchandise planning and management across the business.

This is a unique opportunity to work with one of Australia's leading womenswear brands, where you can combine your passion for fashion with your expertise in planning, forecasting, and driving results. As a vital member of the team, you will play a critical role in implementing and delivering the company's merchandise strategies.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Lead range and assortment planning with the General Manager, aligning deliveries with VM and marketing calendars.
• Oversee replenishment, size control, stock lifecycle, markdowns, and clearance to maximise sell-through and margin.
• Develop and manage annual buying plans, stock allocation profiles, and buy sheets.
• Monitor merchandise KPIs, including category performance, sell-through, and finishing margin, providing regular analysis and reporting.
• Manage forecasting and execution of the Perri Cutten BSR merchandise program.
• Coordinate weekly trade meetings to review financial performance and align cross-functional teams.
• Oversee stocktake, seasonal indent sell-through, and stock consolidation to optimise results.
• Ensure merchandise supports all marketing and promotional events.
• Lead and develop one Merchandise Allocator

You will have:

• Minimum 7-10 years' experience in a retail merchandise management role
• Relevant tertiary or related qualifications
• Proven leadership skills and a be strategic thinker
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, at both a strategic and executional level
• Proven record in driving both retail and wholesale sales, and able to identify potential opportunities of generating new business/ accounts
• Ability to communicate effectively to all team members/employees at all levels, both written and verbal
• Ability to effectively manage challenging or pressured situations
• A meticulous and organised work approach, with a strong ability to manage schedules and meet deadlines
• Proven ability to take ownership and demonstrate initiative
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven nature of the industry
• Willingness to learn and grow
