The Centres:
Junior Einsteins Nurturing Centre – Shell Heights is our newest service, recently rated as EXCEEDING the National Quality Standards. Shell Heights has been operating since July 2023, focusing on creating an inclusive environment for all our children. This new state of the art centre is opened 52 weeks a year, catering for 125 children per day, aged 6 weeks – 6 years of age, from 6:30am – 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, closed on public holidays. Our new service consists of a 4-room centre, each with their own specially designed outdoor spaces with an additional 3 extra-curricular rooms to further extend upon children's learning; our creative Art Studio, the Children's Library and the Kid's Kitchen/ Science Lab.

Junior Einsteins Nurturing Centre – Blackbutt and Junior Einsteins Nurturing Centre - Flinders have been established within the Shellharbour region since 2007 & 2010, providing the children with a collaborative environment in our one room centre. Our Blackbutt and Flinders services are opened 50 weeks a year, closing for 2 weeks over the Christmas break. These services cater for 33 children per day, from the ages of 2 to 5 years, with opening hours from 7:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, closed on public holidays. Both our Blackbutt and Flinders services include a newly renovated outdoor environment, filled with natural elements and opportunities for exploration and play.

We believe the educators within a service are the foundations and fundamental components of a centre. We have a number of educator positions available at all three of our services:

Junior Einsteins Shell Heights
Full Time Diploma Educators or Early Childhood Teachers
Full Time Training Educator (to compete Certificate III in Early Education and Care)

Junior Einsteins Blackbutt
Full Time Early Childhood Teacher
Part Time Diploma or Certificate III Educator
Part Time Cook - 5 days per week, 4 hours per day

Junior Einsteins Flinders
Full Time Training Educator (to compete Certificate III in Early Education and Care)

Certificate III and Diploma Traineeships available

Appeals for Training Educators Interested in Obtaining a Certificate III Qualification:

• Course fees fully covered

• 18 month contract with the service and Traineeship Board

• 6 monthly bonuses, up to $4250, over the 18 month period, paid directly by the Government

• 3 hours of study time allocated each week to complete course work at the service

Appeals for Certificate III Educators Interested in Obtaining a Diploma Traineeship:

• Course fees fully covered

• 2 year contract with the service and Traineeship Board

• 6 monthly bonus, up to $5000, over the 2 year period, paid directly by the Government

• 3 hours of study time allocated each week to complete course work at the service

The successful candidates will be required to uphold strong communication and people skills to engage with families, as well as inspiring and motivating our team of highly qualified educators to create a powerful foundation for future successes in children's learning within our service. The appointed persons will be required to work within a collaborative work environment and continue to build and foster the relationship existing between the centre, our families and community overall. As passionate educators who have a great understanding of the National Regulations and Law, NQF, EYLF and other relevant Early Childhood literature, the successful candidates will be committed to achieve positive outcomes for all children.

Essential Requirements:

• A Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor in Early Years (or ACECQA approved equivalent, can be working towards Diploma or ECT)

• NSW Working with Children's Check

• Relevant Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk Certificate.

• First Aid Certificate along with Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate, or willing to complete.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organisation skills.

• Excellent computer literacy skills

• An excellent understanding of the NQF, EYLF, National Regulations & Law, WH&S

Desirable Requirements:

• An understanding of the programming and planning cycle for children's learning.

• Experience working in a centre with your qualification.
