Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated Team Leader who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pick bench area, ensuring that orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with company standards. This role requires a strong focus on leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within a fast-paced, multi-client warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the pick bench area to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team performance, providing support and guidance as required.
  • Undertake pick packing duties when necessary to meet operational demands.
  • Operate forklifts safely and in line with company and regulatory standards (if licensed).
  • Conduct quality assurance (QA) checks to maintain accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accurate stock control and inventory availability.
  • Manage internal and external email correspondence, including booking external carriers for collections and preparing pickup manifests.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager regarding upcoming projects, casual staff requirements, and rework activities.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised pick bench area at all times.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse experience, in a multi-client environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to delegate, motivate, and monitor staff performance.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with warehouse systems and processes (e.g. inventory management, cycle counts).
  • Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
  • Commitment to workplace health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
