About the role

As the Warehouse Manager at SJ Fresh Produce, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our state-of-the-art fully chilled warehouse in Canning Vale, Western Australia. This is a full-time, hands on role that will see you play a crucial part in supporting the company's growth and success in the fresh produce industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Early morning starts managing and coordinating all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching fresh produce orders to our customers
  • Staff rostering, development and performance management of the warehouse team to ensure high levels of productivity, efficiency and safety
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are being adhered to
  • Analyse warehouse data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the sales retail team, produce buyers and transport companies to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment

What we're looking for

  • Substantial experience (5+ years) in a similar warehouse management role, ideally within the fresh produce industry
  • Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills to motivate and get the best out of your team of about 15-20 people
  • Reporting to a the produce of buyers while providing leadership and direction to the team under your supervision
  • Ready to step in hands-on, including forklift operation, to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and deadlines are met
  • Ability to meet deadlines, attention to detail, and a good memory
  • Current and valid forklift licence required
