About the role

The cleaning roles at Maroondah Hospital are varied and interesting. Keeping our hospital and surrounding sites clean is key to keeping our patients, visitors and colleagues safe. 

The cleaning role may include ward cleaning, administration cleaning, waste management, stores management, specialized theatre or clinical cleaning, floor scrubbing, floor buffing, high pressure cleaning, window cleaning, bed making and discharge cleaning.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Experience with cleaning in healthcare
• Available to work afternoon shifts.
• Excellent work ethic, take pride in work and have good attention to detail
• Experience operating various types of cleaning machinery
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Available to work a variety of shifts including afternoons
• Must be available to work over December and January period including public holidays if required

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination  recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
