About the role:

This role is responsible for installing and maintaining network and optical equipment, while managing day-to-day fibre patching to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.

You'll support carrier partners in establishing and maintaining their presence within our facilities, contributing to reliable connectivity and strong stakeholder relationships.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and monitor fibre optic and network equipment, responding to alarms and alerts using monitoring tools.
  • Provide expert connectivity advice and support to internal and external stakeholders, including fault finding assistance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and act as a Subject Matter Expert across data centre operations.
  • Manage and update network topology, asset records, and configuration data for all networking equipment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and service providers.
  • Work independently and collaboratively across regions, occasionally outside normal business hours.
  • Represent the company professionally in meetings, committees, and stakeholder engagements.

About you:

This role would suit someone who has a solid foundational understanding of networking and fibre cabling and is looking to step into a data centre environment. You're motivated to learn, keen to grow your skills in network operations, and ready to take on a hands-on role.

You'll bring a proactive attitude, a willingness to work independently and in a team, and the drive to build strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and stakeholders.

  • Experience with fibre cabling and network infrastructure maintenance, supporting a range of technologies.

  • Strong documentation and compliance skills, with familiarity in ITIL frameworks.

  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot networking and communications equipment.
  • Industry certifications in networking or cabling are desirable.

Essential:

Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
