Opening this December, Cleo will bring Eastern Mediterranean flavours and old-world cooking techniques to life, set within a new modern space to celebrate every season

The rooftop of Hyde Melbourne Place will be transformed with warm tones, long tables, generous spaces for relaxed communal dining and an all-new Mediterranean-inspired food and beverage menu.

As Venue Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our operations – leading, inspiring, and empowering your team to deliver elevated service from the very first welcome to the final farewell. You'll bring operational expertise, strong leadership, and a passion for hospitality that makes guests feel right at home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth service and high guest satisfaction
  • Lead, train and inspire the FOH team to deliver exceptional hospitality
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team for seamless service flow
  • Manage rostering, budgets, ordering and stock control
  • Implement and maintain venue standards, policies, and procedures
  • Drive revenue growth through events, promotions, and upselling
  • Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, health & safety regulations

What we're looking for

  • Minimum three years proven experience in managing premium or high-volume hospitality venues
  • A leader who thrives in fast-paced, guest-focused environments
  • Strong operational, financial, and people management skills
  • A passion for food, beverage and creating memorable experiences
  • Exceptional knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, and emerging trends. WSET III or equivalent highly regarded
  • The ability to create a workplace where staff feel empowered, connected, and inspired
