In this role, you'll:
Work within the Engineering & Maintenance Division, which is responsible for maintaining and renewing essential rail infrastructure across the Sydney Trains network.
You'll be involved in the planning, delivery and completion of rail projects in signalling, control systems and electrical Systems & Electrical portfolios, depending on your background and expertise.
From developing initial cost estimates and construction schedules to coordinating work on-site and supporting the commissioning process, you'll be part of every stage of the project lifecycle.
You will work alongside experienced project managers, engineers and construction teams to ensure technical specifications are met, safety standards are upheld and all work is completed to time and quality expectations.
Whether you're focused on operational technology and control systems or delivering traditional civil works in the rail corridor, you'll be helping to deliver infrastructure that directly improves reliability and service for Sydney Trains customers.

About you
You have relevant engineering qualifications - electrical, control systems and signalling experience in infrastructure or construction projects, preferably in rail. You're confident working in a safety-focused environment, collaborating across teams, and interpreting technical documentation. Experience with site work, system integration, or commissioning will be highly valued.
You're motivated to develop your skills and contribute to major public infrastructure projects in a supportive and dynamic team.
You're comfortable interpreting technical documents, working across teams, and contributing to a positive safety culture. If you have experience working on active construction sites, managing interfaces between systems, or supporting commissioning activities, you'll thrive in this role.
These roles are ideal for motivated engineers ready to contribute to large-scale public infrastructure projects and expand their capability within a supportive, technically strong environment.
