Green Renewable Energy Solutions (GRES) is a rapidly growing company in General Electrical/Solar/Fire protection installation industries. We are currently seeking Electrical Engineering Technicians to join our successful, dynamic, safety and employee-reward focused team. We mainly undertake projects from large corporations and always comply with industry safety standards.

**Salary**

Full-time: $58,000 a year

**Duties include**:

- Plan installation methods as per Safe Work Method Statements (SWMSs), and Check completed installation conform with standards and regulatory requirements
- Carry out installation of solar PV systems, including electrical wiring, mounting of inverters and panels, testing, installation of main switches and other standard commercial electrical work
- Oversee the installation process (i.e. assembling, installing, testing, calibrating, modifying), maintenance and preventative maintenance of electrical and production equipment
- Coordinate with field labour crew for efficient installation
- Assure field works are carried out in compliance with the most recent diagrams and drawings
- Assist project-in-charge engineers with updating markups to complete as-built drawings
- Calculate Bill of Quantity (BOQ) to conclude the likely costs of the proposed project
- Assist operations manager with variance analysis between estimated costs and actual costs of each project

**Key Competencies**:

- Competent knowledge of PV installation and Dry fire protection related electrical works
- Working knowledge of Work Health and Safety and Environmental legislation, Australian Standards and industry codes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and circuit diagrams
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to liaise with clients and management
- Understanding of contractual responsibilities between Client, Contractor, Subcontractor, and Supplier
- Self-motivated with good time management skills and ability to prioritise workload
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
