We're looking for a dedicated Aboriginal Health Worker to work in partnership with the Binji & Boori community-based midwifery team, delivering pregnancy and early postnatal care.
In this role, you will:
- Engage with Aboriginal families in the community
- Connect women to the service
- Advocate for women in mainstream services
- Collaborate effectively in a small, dynamic team, respecting each member's unique contributions
- Lead community development and health promotion initiatives
- Partner with acute maternity services to ensure culturally sensitive care

A little about us.
As a part of the new Shellharbour Hospital and Integrated Services Project, a new Community Health Centre is being built on the old Port Kembla Hospital site. Located on Dharawal Country, Warrawong Community Health Centre will bring together a range of services including community mental health, drug and alcohol, community nursing, and child and family services.
Until the new Community Centre is complete, some allied health services will continue to operate out of the Port Kembla Hospital site.

This is a temporary leave relief position until 30 June 2026with the possibility of extension.
