Role Description

This is a contract hybrid role for a PostgreSQL Engineer based in Brisbane, QLD, with some work-from-home flexibility. The PostgreSQL Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining PostgreSQL databases. Daily tasks will include performance tuning, optimizing queries, ensuring database security, and implementing backup and recovery solutions. The role also involves collaborating with development teams to address database-related issues and providing technical guidance for database design and architecture.

Qualifications

  • Database Management, PostgreSQL, and SQL skills
  • Experience with Performance Tuning and Query Optimization
  • Skills in Backup and Recovery Solutions and Database Security
  • Collaboration and Communication with Development Teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with cloud environments is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Experience with PostGIS, PgAudit, Replication & HA are highly desirable
