We are a leading steel fabrication company specializing in the production of high-quality structural steel components for commercial projects. Due to continued growth we are looking for a qualified crane driver to join our team.

As a crane driver you will be responsible to safely move steel beams, plates and fabricated components onsite, within our workshop and yard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate overhead gantry cranes to lift and transport steel materials
  • Load and unload steel deliveries & transport materials between sites
  • Drive company Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicle for deliveries when required
  • Operate mobile cranes (or vehicle mounted cranes) to assist with steel erection and installation
  • Coordinate with site supervisors, riggers and other trades during lifting operations
  • Ensure all lifting work complies with site specific safety requirements and regulations
  • Maintain clear communication with ground personal during lifts
  • Support welders, fabricators and yard crew with material handling
  • Perform crane inspections and follow workshop safety procedures

Requirements

  • Heavy Rigid (HR) drivers license - essential
  • Experience operating cranes in both workshop and construction site environments
  • Knowledge of lifting procedures, load limits and safety regulations
  • Ability to interpret lift plans, workshop drawings and delivery schedules
Strong communication and teamwork skills
