We are seeking a talented Product Design Engineer who can think like an engineer and ensure the feasibility of designs for high-volume production.

Our client is a well-established design and manufacturing firm recognized globally as a market leader. They foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and a strong focus on customer needs. They are looking for experienced, hands-on Product Design Engineers to improve the functionality and manufacturability of physical products.
The Role
As a Product Design Engineer, you will play an essential role in ensuring that frontend concepts are engineered for successful manufacturing. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and optimising physical products with a primary focus on Design for Manufacture (DfM)
- Collaborating with the product team to assess feasibility and refine concepts into reliable, efficient designs
- Liaising with manufacturing partners in Asia to ensure processes align with design specifications
- Occasional international travel to manufacturers may be required
Skills and experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic, results-driven professional who has:
- 3+ years of experience and proven ability designing physical products
- degree in a relevant field such as: Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aeronautical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering
- ability to manage your own work as well as working effectively within a team
- knowledge of materials characteristics and manufacturing processes
- ability to express ideas effectively via concept sketching, rendering, prototyping, testing, technical drawings/DfM, written and verbal communication
- expertise with 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks)
N.B. You must possess full, unrestricted and ongoing rights to work in Australia to be eligible for this role.
