The role
This is a unique opportunity, to join our passionate team of Home Assessors within Australia's fastest growing insurance company.
The role of a Home Assessor is to assess and report on damages, discuss and agree upon best repair methods in conjunction with our panel of home repairers and our internal claims team, while ensuring our customer service levels are of the highest standards.
To help you achieve your potential you will be supported with ongoing training, a mobile phone, a fully maintained vehicle and a tablet/laptop.
Our Home Assessors are the face of our claims team. They are often the first person on site following a home insurance claim. This provides us a unique opportunity to assist our customers in their time of need.
This role will be based around the Central Coast region.
Key Accountabilities
- Attending clients properties (physically or Virtually) and accurately reporting on building damage to domestic insured properties, in line with policy coverage.
- Providing accurate Scopes of Works for rectification works to be carried out on insurable events.
- Claims support - Review expert reports, provide technical advice and recommendations on policy coverage to our claims team.
- Submitting reports, reviewing SOW's and documentation in a timely manner (as per set SLA's).
- Determining and advising on the overall best method of repair of the building.
- Adhering to the company values and high customer service expectations.
- Customer satisfaction checks in relation to building repairs.
- Project Coordination and Management on complex / large loss claims.
- To achieve consistent adherence to key performance measures (KPI's).
- Virtual / desktop assessments & triage.
- Compliance with statutory and industry and company requirements.
- Interstate travel may be required for CAT events.
What experience you'll bring
- Experience in managing quality building work and enhancing customer satisfaction;
- Strong understanding of building methodology
- Background in producing accurate scopes of works;
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills;
- Reputable communication skills and conflict resolution handling;
- Experience in managing, coaching and appraising builders;
- Proven experience in building effective business relationships with builders;
- Insurance experience preferred, but not essential.
