Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated
Point Fitter – Mechanical Installer
who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.

The Point Fitter – Mechanical Installer will work in the
Nort West of Australia
on 14 days on 14 days off roster and will contribute to the overall success of the projects. Railway Signalling experience is a must.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Support: You will be responsible and accountable for maintenance on M23A, 84M and switch locks.
  • Site Work: You will closely work on DED, SFD removal and replacements.
  • General: You will perform general railway mechanical maintenance activities as required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in railway signalling
  • Construction white card essential
  • Railway Industry Worker Card desirable
  • Proven time management skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with the team
