The Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team and we encourage applications from candidates who live locally or can easily commute to our Nuriootpa facility in South Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to our Chief Engineer, you will develop, document, and implement maintenance management systems for filtration plants, distillation units, and refrigeration systems.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance works.
  • Analyse operational data to maximise plant efficiency and performance.
  • Collaborate with team members on new build projects, including writing control and automation specifications.
  • Assist with installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of filtration and process systems.
  • Propose and evaluate solutions for software and hardware issues using professional judgment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Stay current with industry trends and innovations to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in the Wine, Beverage or Liquid Processing industries is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of fluid & hydraulic systems, pneumatics, electrical, and electronic components.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex solutions.
  • Proven capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and achieve goals.
  • Familiarity with Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across organisational levels.
  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
