We're looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our Engineering team at Tarac.

In this role, you'll lead process development and optimisation across our production operations — including distillation, spirit recovery, by-product processing, and wastewater treatment. You'll provide technical expertise, drive improvement projects, and support our teams to achieve safe, efficient, and sustainable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and specify process systems, equipment, and control strategies for new or modified processes.
  • Analyse existing operations to identify opportunities for water, energy, and labour efficiency gains.
  • Lead operational excellence and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Manage wastewater systems and ensure environmental compliance.
  • Oversee process engineering and site-based projects across multiple locations.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and support to production and maintenance teams.
  • Review safety procedures, lead incident investigations, and foster a strong safety culture.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, or related Engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in process or production engineering within distillation, beverage, or chemical manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Aspen and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Current South Australian C Class driver's licence.
