About us

Hanwha Defence Australia (HDA) are delivering capability to the Australian Defence Force by uniting the best Australian and South Korean technology and practices.

HDA has established a $170 million manufacturing facility known as the Hanwha Armoured Vehicle Centre of Excellence (H-ACE), next to Avalon Airport in Geelong, which will bring high technology vehicle manufacturing back to the region. 

Under Stage 1, the 32,000 square metre state-of-the-art facility will initially be focused on the production of Hanwha's AS9 Self-Propelled Howitzer (SPH) and AS10 Armoured Ammunition Resupply Vehicle (AARV) under LAND 8116 Phase 1 Protected Mobile Fires program.

Stage 2 design has commenced and will see the facility expanded to fulfill the Australian Army requirement for 129 Redback Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs), under LAND 400 Phase 3.

The plant features a 1,500-metre test track, deep-water test facility, obstacle course and purpose built Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI / EMC) chamber, one of the most advanced in the region.

Your new role:

As the Warehouse Storeperson at Hanwha Defence Australia, you will contribute to the efficient and effective material handling of incoming and outgoing inventory for vehicle production. This role will be accountable for basic warehouse functions with the added complexity of handling large, be-spoke and complex inventory.

Your primary areas of responsibilities:

  • Coordinating delivery trucks and schedules
  • Unloading Trucks
  • Stock inspection upon delivery
  • Stock receipting and put-away
  • Cycle Counting
  • Conducting stock discrepancy investigations
  • Maintaining and managing inventory in quarantine
  • Stock replenishment
  • Picking
  • Staging and administrating picked inventory
  • Delivering Inventory to the Production Line
  • Generally housekeeping/cleaning and disposing of dunnage

About you

As an ideal candidate you will have:

  • High Risk Forklift Licence (Required)
  • Competency and demonstrated ability to handle High Reach and High-Capacity Forklifts (Required)
  • Heavy Rigid Licence (Desired)
  • High Risk Dogging Ticket (Desired)
  • Certificate III or IV in Warehousing Operations / or Equivalent (Desired)
  • Previous experience using SAP – especially Produmex WMS
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment that manages inventory for production or manufacturing requirements
  • Previous experience handling large and over-sized inventory

Eligibility

  • To be successful in this role, you will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security clearance (must be Australian Citizen). Eligibility criteria can be found at
