The Employer Engagement Partner is responsible for identifying and building successful relationships with employers within the community, by advocating and brokering employment opportunities for customers. Collaborating with staff at sites, you will work as part of a wider team, ensuring current and future employment opportunities align with customers skills and goals.
This role will see you working across the Southern suburbs of Adelaide.
You will...
- Meeting individual and team key performance targets
- Work collaboratively with all team members to meet Customer and Employer needs
- Meet with customers and identify suitable employment opportunities, ensuring the employment aligns with their strengths, goals and skills
- Engage with local employers to understand their resourcing requirements and generate new employment opportunities utilising Customised Employment Principles, wherever possible
- Generate opportunities within the local area (in regular businesses and social enterprises) for customers to undertake job interviews, work experience, work trials, industry awareness visits and employer guest speaker opportunities. Liaise with the Activation Partner, where required, in relation to these opportunities
- Undertake job creation activity and bespoke job carving (applying Customised Employment Principles), as well as reverse marketing and cold calling, ensuring customer goals and skills are considered to deliver a strong job match
- Negotiate wage subsidies with current and prospective employers
- Collaborate with other staff within the region engage with customers, including co-delivery of some workshops
- Promote Maxima's services within the community, including at employer events and participating in regional forums and represent Maxima at local events
- Deliver Employer Confidence workshops to build and increase employer confidence and increase diversity in the workplace and to enhance employment opportunities for the wider community
- Maintain accurate, detailed and up to date case notes and records, including completing risk assessments (where required) for placements, work experience opportunities and conduct industry visits to ensure safety and compliance
What will you need to succeed?
You will be a highly motivated and engaging communicator, with exceptional relationship management skills. Previous experience in business development, sales and/or marketing, and familiarity with the local labour market will help you successfully represent Maxima in the community and create employment opportunities for customers.

You will have:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and relationships with stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving, organisational and time management skills
- Exceptional Customer Service skills including the ability to influence, negotiate and close deals
- Agility and flexibility and be willing to work both on the road and from the office, with some out of hours work expected
- A commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity in the workplace
- A willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development
- Current driver's licence (required)
- National police check, relevant State/Territory working with children check and NDIS Worker's Clearance, or be willing to obtain.
