Job Description
We have worked hard to become Australia's largest Superannuation and Insurance Claims Team in Australia, helping everyday Australians gain access to their superannuation insurance.
As a Claims Team Leader you will lead the Trustee's team which involves supervision of a group of passionate Law Clerks and Legal Assistants. This is a fantastic 12-month secondment/contract opportunity for someone with a background in Superannuation and Claims with previous leadership experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Coaching and developing the team against established KPI's and identifying where further support is needed, listening to feedback, celebrating success and resolving any issues/conflicts
- Lead by example and direct the team to meet and exceed KPIs
- Oversee the claims process from end-to-end, ensuring compliance and quality is consistently maintained, whilst identifying opportunities to enhance our processes or take remedial action where required
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, collaborating and sharing information amongst your team as well as the broader firm to educate and influence
- Work closely with the Claims Manager – PLS, providing analysis and reporting on team performance
The experience we are looking for
You will have demonstrated previous leadership skills and be passionate about fostering an engaging team environment. You have successfully built trust and inspired teams to continuously achieve. Your passion to deliver an outstanding experience for your staff and clients and foster productive relationships is at the core of what you do. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in a leadership role, ideally across professional or financial services, giving you an insight into a complex service offering and a strong regulatory focus
- High attention to detail, able to effectively manage multiple tasks whilst maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
- Experience in coaching and developing a team
- Mature confident approach to working with others with experience managing complaints or escalations with excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to engage and influence
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
