Job Purpose
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly motivated day shift Transport Operations Supervisor to lead our transport team and ensure the safe, efficient, and customer-focused execution of daily operations. This role will oversee the in-house transport function, managing both people and performance to deliver operational excellence and commercial results.

You'll play a key role in ensuring safety and compliance, optimising transport activities, and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and budget compliance.
  • Manage fleet, allocators, and in-house drivers to meet operational and customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with NHVR regulations and DP World safety standards.
  • Review and approve transport invoices, maintaining 100% accuracy.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, accountable transport team.
  • Act as TMS super user, driving continuous improvement and system implementation.

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

  • 5+ year's experience in transport operations with proven team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of container transport and Chain of Responsibility.
  • Skilled in Transport Management Systems (TMS); familiarity with 1-Stop advantageous.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail with a customer-focused, results-driven mindset.
  • Effective communicator able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
