Your Team
The Risk and Control Advisory (RCA) team are valued and trusted business partners supporting Hollard (Line 1) Business Functions to embed our enterprise risk policies and frameworks into all aspects of their business operations. The RCA team provides group-wide cross-functional risk and control advisory and assurance services to enhance organisational risk and resilience maturity, capability and culture to support us in achieving our strategic goals, enhance the customer experience and mitigate the risk of regulatory intervention. The team is also responsible for establishing the policy for our enterprise continuity standards and provides critical enterprise support in delivering these standards.
Your Role
This role provides direct business partnering and risk advisory services to the Operations Function teams. You will serve as the primary embedded risk advisor, working closely with Operations teams to provide pragmatic guidance on risk identification, evaluation, and mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary embedded risk advisor for the Operations Function teams, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders
- Provide pragmatic risk advisory services to Operations Leadership Team on risk identification, evaluation, mitigation, and escalation
- Lead the development and maintenance of the Operations functional risk profile
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments including Risk in Change – Delivered Risk Assessments, Partner/Suppliers risk assessments, and Uncapped indemnities
- Partner with Operations teams to ensure proactive assessment and documentation of risks associated with projects (non EPMO) and change initiatives
- Provide targeted training and guidance to Operations teams to enhance risk capability and knowledge
About You
- Demonstrated experience in in Risk Management and/or Control Assurance within the financial services industry, General Insurance industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of risk strategies and frameworks used within the Australian financial services industry
- Good knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to the Australian financial services industry
- Experience in business partnering or advisory roles, highly regarded
- Experience in risk assessment methodologies and frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with business stakeholders
