About the Role

The Engineering Coordinator will report directly to the Chief Engineer, supporting the efficient operation of the engineering department by overseeing inventory, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and sustainability standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Manage inventory and oversee the ordering of materials required for the engineering department's operations.
  • Process purchase orders, track work requests, and liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules, including overseeing the Ken Fix It program and ensuring compliance with safety audits.
  • Provide administrative support for ongoing projects, including assisting with month-end accruals and Capex processes.
  • Coordinate and manage contractors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Respond to internal and guest requests, ensuring high levels of service and operational efficiency are maintained at all times.
  • Support the completion of EarthCheck documentation and assist in meeting the hotel's sustainability goals.

Skills & Experience

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in procurement, inventory and engineering purchasing, ideally within the hospitality sector.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in contractor management and vendor coordination, ensuring compliance with hotel safety standards and operational timelines.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • A passion for luxury service standards and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
