Job task and responsibilities

We are currently seeking a motivated and proactive casual chef to join our small catering team.

You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and cooking of food to deliver an excellent member experience including a la carte, functions and BBQs and sandwiches.

This role is on a casual basis requiring availability for a variety of shifts during the week and especially weekends.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be passionate and take pride in delivering excellent food for our members and visitors alike
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions
  • Take ownership in cleanliness of your workstation and kitchen spaces.
  • Comply with safe work practices and hold current food safety certificate

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Certificate 3 in commercial cookery or equivalent
  • Experience in al carte dining and functions
  • Excellent time management skills
  • High standards and attention to detail
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure, multi-task as required and solve problems in a professional and timely manner
