About the Role

We're currently looking for an experienced HR Truck Driver to join our team as a backup/relief driver for our CBD cardboard collection run.

Please note: Driving duties will be very uncommon. This role is primarily a yard-based position, supporting the team through truck cleaning, greasing, and maintenance tasks. Relief driving will only be required when our primary CBD driver is unavailable.

  • CBD Shift Days: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday (If required)
  • Depot Hand: Monday-Friday
  • Start Time: 5:00 PM
  • Shift Length: 4–5 hours per night
  • Location: Bettatrans Depot – 176 Francis Road, Wingfield

Backup / Relief Driver for CBD

You'll be responsible for safely driving an HR rear-load compactor truck alongside an offsider who manages collections from the curb throughout the Adelaide CBD.


Key Responsibilities
  • Occasional safe operation of an HR truck in the CBD
  • Routine greasing and cleaning of fleet vehicles
  • Assisting with truck presentation and light maintenance
  • Conducting vehicle pre-starts and end-of-day checks
  • Using a tablet to record runs (when covering driving shifts)

What You'll Need

Essential:

  • Minimum HR Truck Licence
  • National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
  • Able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical
