Finance Business Partner

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our team in a permanent full-time basis, based in our city hub in Queen Street, Brisbane. The role is a trusted advisor to our operations, translating complex financial and non-financial information into actionable insights for operational leaders, and supporting continuous improvement, compliance and operational efficiency.

The key capabilities we're looking for include:

• Financial Planning and Analytical Insight: Ability to develop accurate budgets, forecasts, and costings, and deliver insightful financial analysis that identifies trends, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making.
• Performance and Reporting Excellence: Capability to manage month-end reporting, review financial results, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for operational leaders.
• Strategic Business Partnering: Skill in building trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation, influencing decisions through sound financial advice, and providing high-quality support to internal stakeholders.
• Compliance and Governance Expertise: Strong understanding of accounting standards, internal controls, and governance frameworks to ensure financial integrity, audit readiness, and risk mitigation.
• Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts in simple, meaningful ways, facilitating understanding and alignment between finance and non-finance teams.
• Continuous Improvement and Collaboration: Commitment to process optimisation, automation, and knowledge sharing, working collaboratively across finance and operational teams to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications and Additional Information

Ideally, the successful applicant will have:

• Tertiary education in accounting, commerce or finance, with a current CA/CPA highly desirable.
• Demonstrated understanding of end-to-end finance functions.
• High level computer literacy in the use of Microsoft Excel, Power BI & Power Query.
• Ability to meet deadlines whilst managing competing priorities.
• Demonstrated success in engaging internal and external stakeholders, including the development of internal financial literacy.
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central finance software or similar ERP (Enterprise Resourcing Planning) system is desirable.
• Experience with TM1 or other event reporting systems is desirable.
